If you're looking to move your company from its original state of formation to a new one, you have three options available.
-
Domestication:
- Domesticating your company essentially picks it up out of the State you are currently incorporated in and drops it into the State you want to move it to. Bizee does not file Domestication orders so we do not have information on the cost or time needed to process this kind of filing. We recommend contacting the Secretary of State of the state you want to move to in order to inquire about this filing.
-
Foreign Qualification
- This type of filing would leave your company where it was originally formed but allow your company to be "Foreign Qualified" in another state as well. Be aware, however, that you will have to keep up with the regulations and fees of both states.
You can see more information and pricing, and even file your Foreign Qualification, through Bizee at the following link: Filing a Foreign Qualification to Do Business Out of State
You need an active agent per state for the expanding entity.
If you are using our agent, you would need to order a new service for each new state, which you can do here: Get Your Registered Agent Service
- This type of filing would leave your company where it was originally formed but allow your company to be "Foreign Qualified" in another state as well. Be aware, however, that you will have to keep up with the regulations and fees of both states.
-
Dissolution and Formation
- You also have the option of dissolving your original company and just forming a new one in the new State.
You can file your Dissolution here: File Articles of Dissolution
And filing your new business here: Order now at Bizee.com
