Generally speaking, to create a website, 3 pieces are needed.
1. Domain (Incfile can supply this)
2. Webpage design (Incfile can supply this)
3. Hosting Services. (Incfile does not supply this)
A domain is the physical address of the website. www.incfile.com is the domain for the incfile website. This is literally just the address, and it can be registered by Incfile if the domain and email package is included. Incfile will register that domain so that no one can get it. If only the domain is purchased, the address does not point anywhere.
2. Webpage Design:
Webpage design is the design of the actual web page. This is the data that shows the website. This includes all the links and the many different pages Incfile can offer that through the website tab in the client dashboard. The partners all offer website design for free provided that you pay for hosting services. Incfile's first page looks like this.
3. Hosting Services:
Hosting services means that a company will host your website. The data from your webpage design will be stored on the host's computer. The domain will then point to the host's computer. So when someone types in www.incfile.com, the address points to a computer that has the incfile webpage design on it. The host computer will then show the webpage, and that is how a webpage is live. The entire internet is one computer connecting directly to another computer to see the data on it. Incfile does not provide hosting services. Each of the web design partners (Wix / Xoopah) will offer hosting services for a price. They can change their pricing model at any time.
