When we reference "your domain" we mean the unique name that identifies a website on the internet, e.g.www.mywebsite.com - What is DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is a large group of servers that holds the information for where to find domains. (i.e. if your domain is a phone number, then a DNS is the phone book that can find your domain and everyone else’s). - What is a nameserver?
Nameservers tell the internet where to find each domain/web address. - Why would I want to connect my website to Etsy?
If you plan on selling on Etsy but already have a website, you may want to connect the two so your customers can find your products. - What I will need before I begin to connect my domain to Etsy.

*Please note that while the process is quick, it does typically take 30-45 minutes for the data to propagate. However, depending on your domain and web host provider it could take up to 48 hours to complete.
To redirect your domain to your Etsy store, you can do the following
Create a 301 redirect that sends all of your site traffic to your Etsy store.
To do so, you will access your domain dashboard by using the following link and then clicking on manage domain.
Click here to access your domain dashboard.
- Click on "Manage"
- Scroll down on the window until you find the “Manage host records” section. Click on “Add new record”.
- Click on the"Type" dropdown, and select the "Forward" option. Then add your Etsy URL and click on the checkmark to save the changes.
